Can I recovery old e-mails from 2 years ago?

I have some e-mails from my ex husband and I want to get them back. The issue is, I deleted them last year when I was fed up with him.
The e-mails can help in the divorce case so I would like to get them back. Is there anyway to recover something that old?

It is depending on what is you using. If it is IMAP or WebMail account you may want to look into the folder called "Trash" or "Deleted Items", possible your emails are still there and you may restore them.
